Marshall County High School (KY) Hosts Open – Chessor & Maurad Champs

March 10,2012 kicked of Western Kentuckys High school season. We launched 49 boats saturday morning. A very impressive number for the first open event of the year. The weighs were also impressive. 1st place went to Micah Chessor & Austin Moraud from Reidland High school 27 lbs 11 oz, 2nd place went to Bracken Robinson & Dillion Starks from Calloway county 27 lbs 4 oz , 3rd place Cameron Lynn & Casey While from Marshall County 15 lbs 10 oz, fourth place Reid Finley & Mason Swift fom Calloway county 14 lbs 10 oz and last but not least to round out the top 5 Ryan Tucker and Allen Wilson from Obion County Tn with 13 lbs 14 oz. The next open tournament is March 17th on Crab Orchard lake hosted by Anna / Jonesboro High school. We had a huge turnout at the weigh in. It was great to see so much support of our youth. Thank you TBF for making this possible! We would like to also send a big thank you to all of our boat captains! With you High School fishing would not be possible.

California High School Fishing State Championship Set For April 1

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 8, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the California Bass Federation announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) California High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Sunday, April 1 on the California Delta launching out of Russo’s Marina near Bethel Island, Calif. A unique element of the event is it will follow the FLW Everstart Series event, held on the California Delta that Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Continue reading

Arizona High School Fishing State Championship Set For April 7

PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 6, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the Arizona Bass Federation announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Arizona High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Saturday, April 7 on Lake Pleasant launching out of the South Ramp near Hook Up Outfitters in Peoria, Ariz.

The championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in begins at 6pm MST on Friday, April 6, at the Hampton Inn in Anthem, Ariz., with a mandatory rules briefing at 7pm MST. We highly encourage all teams to preregister online or by phone in advance to avoid late registration fees.
