Texas Student Angler Conducts Fishing Seminars

Texas Student Angler Federation member, Reed Neuberger recently conducted fishing seminars at his local Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine, Texas. He will be conducing more in the future at various locations.

Neuberger is a great advocate of our sport and organization as many young anglers asked him how he got started! Wayne County Kentucky HS Club Hosting Open Sept 15 on Lake Cumberland

Wayne County Kentucky High School Bass Bandits

1st Annual Open School Bass Tournament

Sept. 15, 2012 – Lake Cumberland

Open to all high school age anglers. Two-student team format plus adult boat captain/coach. Must be SAF members to fish. If you are not a member, please call the TBF National Office at 580.765.9031. Membership fee is $25 per student.

Registration and Pre-Tournament Meeting – Sept. 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (EST) with free hot dogs and drinks to be held at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Service Office, 200 Rolling Hills Blvd., Monticello, KY.

Tournament Location: Conley Bottom Marina & Resort on Lake Cumberland Kentucky, Lake off limits at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2012

Tournament Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST)

Entry fee: $10.00 per boat.  Entry fee will be a fundraiser for the Wayne County Bass Bandits.

There will be trophies and door prizes for participants, boat captains.

Kaufman, Forney and Bullard High Schools Duel It Out On Cedar Creek

Ten teams from 3 different high schools met up to compete against each other on a hot and VERY TOUGH Cedar Creek Lake located in Malakoff, Texas.  Launching out of Log Cabin boat ramp at safe light, the 10 teams blasted off in hopes of catching lots of bass.  The bass proved to be not very cooperative as all of the teams had a tough time locating fish throughout the day.  When we arrived back at weigh-in, the students from all the schools were telling each other about the difficulties of the day.  Continue reading
