How often does your club meet? 2 times a month

How did your club get started? We have access to a lot of lakes and many of our students fish and wanted a high school team.

Club’s favorite lake and why? We have 5 lakes within a 30 minute drive and each lake offers different reasons to love it!

Describe TBF tournaments, community service and/or conservation projects your club has or plans to have? We have had 2 tournaments in conjunction with 5 Lakes Fishing Club. We are working on conservation plans. We fish 11-13-10 with the Clemson Team.

Any local sponsors that help support your club? We have 6 local sponsors & several fishing club volunteers. Sponsors are: WK Brown Timber, Tow Boat US, Portronics, Greenwood Auto Salvage, Bar-E, Lake Secession Marina

Where do you get your volunteer boaters from? Parents, grandparents, school alumni and clubs.

Tell us something unique about your club! Professional Bass Fisherman Casey Ashley is our mentor and graduated from Dixie High.

How often does your club meet? 4 or 5 times a year

How did your club get started? One interested student and his dad sought information and spoke with school principal about starting the club through our school.  Many students wanted to join!

Describe TBF tournaments, community service and/or conservation projects your club has or plans to have? We sent 6 members to represent us in the state tournament last year on Lake Murray, and they all fished well.  In the younger age group, our member, Josh Knowlton, won and represented us in the national tournament in Atlanta this summer.  It was a great experience for Josh!

Any local sponsors that help support your club? We have several interested, but we are still working on that.

Where do you get your volunteer boaters from? (parents, local bass club, etc.) Parents and local bass club members that are willing to take time to fish with us on weekends.

Tell us something unique about your club! We started off our first year with a huge number of members.  We have wonderful parent participation and support.  We enjoy fishing on local ponds together as well as on our big SC lakes.
