PONCA CITY, Okla. (Mar. 6, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the Arizona Bass Federation announced it will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Arizona High School Fishing State Championship. The event will be Saturday, April 7 on Lake Pleasant launching out of the South Ramp near Hook Up Outfitters in Peoria, Ariz.

The championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in begins at 6pm MST on Friday, April 6, at the Hampton Inn in Anthem, Ariz., with a mandatory rules briefing at 7pm MST. We highly encourage all teams to preregister online or by phone in advance to avoid late registration fees.

The event will be Sunday, March 25 on Lake Lavon launching out of the Collin Park Marina Ramp near Allen, Texas. A unique element of the event is it will follow the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash, held on Lake Lavon Friday and Saturday.
