BREWERTON, N.Y. (April 10, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW and the Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers & Outdoors Program, has announced that the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) New York and Ontario High School Fishing State Championships will be held Sunday, July 15 on Oneida Lake at Oneida Shores County Park in Brewerton, N.Y.

The tournament is open to all New York and Ontario ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students, including home schooled students, that are Student Angler Federation members. SAF membership cost $25 per year and includes a digital subscription to FLW Bass Fishing magazine, insurance coverage while competing in SAF events (including the option to add a school as additionally insured), an exclusive online fishing education program, discounts on Coast Guard approved boater safety courses and many other benefits. PONCA CITY, Okla. (Apr. 16, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, the Missouri TBF, and the Lake of the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging Association will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Missouri High School Fishing State Championship.  The championship will be on Saturday, June 2 at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Launch will be out of  Public Beach #2 located within the Lake of the Ozarks State Park near Osage Beach, Mo.

The championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in begins at 5pm Central on Friday, June 1 at the Inn at Grand Glaize in Osage Beach, Mo., with a mandatory rules briefing at 6pm Central.
