Dunagan and Hardwick Conquer the field to win inaugural Wayne County open

September 15, 2012 – High School fishing has arrived in Southern Kentucky as the Wayne County Bass Bandits hosted their first High School Fishing Tournament Saturday at Conley Bottom Marina on Lake Cumberland.

Sixteen two person teams launched their boats on Saturday morning as a cold front arrived with a stiff northeast wind that didn’t exactly help the already tough conditions on the lake. But as always youth did prevail and the team of Bradley Dunagan and Trey Hardwick representing the host team brought three fish to the scales that weighed in at 6 lbs. 4 oz. to win the inaugural event. Marble Falls HS Fishing Team Tournament, Lake Marble Falls

 

The “BACK TO SCHOOL BASS BLAST” was fantastic!  We got the perfect break in weather and launched 14 boats and 26 student anglers on Lake Marble Falls Saturday morning, Sept 15th.  MANY, MANY THANKS to the Stripling family for Breakfast goodies and gatorade and also to the Childress family for pizza and yummy cookies at the weigh-in.  We are so lucky to have supportive parents/families and also a terrific group of volunteer BOAT CAPTAINS! Marble Falls TX Club Hosting Fall Open Nov. 3

When: November 3, 2012 – 6am to 2pm

Where: Lake Austin, TX

Ramp: Loop 360 Boat Ramp 5201 Capital of Texas Hwy N. Austin, TX 78746. Launch to immediately follow rules breifing at safe light.

Who: Open to all 9-12 grade SAF Members (If not members, call TBF National office to join 580.765.9031, $25 a year)

Entry Fee: $10 per student

Format: Individual competition: (two students can fish out of one boat).

Awards: 1st-3rd Place + Big Bass
