Laker Anglers Make Great Showing in Saturday’s Trigg Co. Tourney

ice breaker win 1With only .03 of an ounce separating first and second place, the team of Brandon Falwell and Nathan Camp caught a limit of five lunkers to place second with a total weight of 20.10 lbs. in the first fishing tournament of the season, hosted by Trigg County, Saturday, February 9, on Kentucky Lake. Colton Sims and Zachary Johnson win the Lumberton SAF Open!

lumberton.high.school.alumniHigh school fishing in South East Texas got off to a great start on February 2, 2013 as 48 teams took to the water of Sam Rayburn Reservoir.  Participants from 10 different schools were greeted by a chilly morning, but by the 3 pm weigh in temperatures had risen to near 70 degrees.  Teams from Rains High School, Genoa Central, Sulphur Springs, Carthage, Deweyville, Mansfield Legacy, Splendora, Royse City, Corrigan-Camden, and Lumberton blasted off at 6:50 and from all reports enjoyed a great day on the water. PONCA CITY, Okla. (Feb 15, 2013) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW and The Anderson County Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today it will host the 2013 Student Angler Federation (SAF) South Carolina High School Fishing State Championship on Saturday, March 16.
