One of ten BoatUS Foundation Grassroots Grants winners for 2011, the Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean teaches kids about marine debris at an event in Boston MA, while recovering trash from the Charles River using a remotely operated vehicle.

ANNAPOLIS, Md., February 20, 2013 – The BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water is looking to the public to help it select the winning projects in the competitive 2013 Grassroots Grants Program, which provides local non-profit groups up to $10,000 to help educate boaters on safe and clean boating topics. Help TBF/SAF Win Grassroots Grant Funding by Voting Online for our Project!

The Boat US Foundation has a Grassroots Grant program underway that will award funding for specific projects across the United States.

We have submitted a grant under this program to assist us with the continued education of our anglers through an Aquatic Invasive Species Awareness and a Boater Safety message that will be placed on a new weigh-in trailer that we are working on. The message will include a “trailer wrap” that will highlight these topics and also audio visual equipment that will allow us to play an AIS/Boater Safety message during our events. Continue reading
