BURN and HALL, That’s how they fish – Utah State Champions Crowned

HEBER CITY, Utah  (May 13, 2012) – Five teams took to the water on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012, competing in the Utah & Wyoming High School State Championships at Deer Creek State Park in Heber City, Utah. Mother’s, grandmothers and bass fans lined the ramp to cheer on their favorite team at the blast off. The Bass Federation in partnership with FLW Outdoors held the event for eligible high school students from across both states as a qualifier for the High School National Championship to be held in 2013.

Ashton & Beahm Named 2012 Idaho State Champions on CJ Strike

The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce and the Idaho Bass Federation hosted the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Idaho High School Fishing State Championship on Saturday, May 12, on CJ Strike Reservoir, just outside of Mountain Home, Id.

The High School Fishing  team of David Ashton and Jake Beahm of Borah High took 1st place honors with a 5 fish limit weighing 14-09 pounds.  The Torok brothers, Loren and Blake of Lake City & The Bass Pack High School Fishing Club, brought in a limit weighing 10-07 pounds to capture 2nd place followed by Jon Hickey and Anthony Baracko who put a limit together that weighed 9-11 pounds. Oliver Springs Team Mayton & Everett Win 2012 Tennessee State Championship

The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, the Town of Kimball, and the Tennessee Bass Federation held the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Tennessee High School Fishing State Championship on Nickajack Lake Saturday, May 12. Forty six boats launched out of the Shellmound Park Ramp near Kimball, Tenn., with over forty teams bringing fish back to the scales that afternoon!  Nickajack Lake, part of the famed Tennessee River system, lived up to all of the anglers expectations as twenty teams brought in five bass limits. All of the students had the opportunity to weigh in their catch using equipment that was provided for by the Tennessee Bass Federation.

Dustin Mayton & Hayden Everett from the Oliver Springs High School Bobcats weighed in 16.56 lbs to win the 2012 Tennessee High School State Championship. Continue reading
