After finishing second in the state championship last year the talented duo from Abbeville High School reached the pinnacle of success Saturday and won the 2013 SAF South Carolina High School Fishing State Championship on Lake Hartwell.
Carter McNeil and Tucker Smith brought in 16 LB 3 OZ bag of fish to win the event, despite thirty mile per-hour winds on the big lake. Continue reading
Take-off was delayed as intense showers and lightning storms hit the area Sunday morning on Caddo Lake. Nearly an hour passed before cloud-to-ground lightning strikes were verified clear by the National Weather Service and boats were released.
