Watson Chapel Team Uses Familiar Water to Win Arkansas State Championship

IMG_0011Austin Holcomb and Blake Potter of Watson Chapel high School had never fished in the pristine clear waters of Bull Shoals Lake until Thursday morning when they pre-fished the beautiful mountain lake formed by the White River in Northern Arkansas. But rather than try to do something they were not familiar with, the pair of Juniors went to work trying to find some “Dirty” water that was similar to the area they live in around Pine Bluff. Once they found those conditions the talented pair did what they like to do best and worked a variety of crankbaits to perfection to win the 2013 Arkansas State High School Bass Fishing Championship. California High School Fishing State Championship Set For May 19

Wall and Williams-Wright Crowned 2013 Oregon State Champs

The TBF Oregon held the High School championships out of Willamette Park on the Willamette River in Portland Oregon. The winners of the event were Jacob Wall and Cecil Williams-Wright with a 5 fish limit weighing 13.83# Second place was the team of Nick Chin and Daniel Kalmikov with a 5 fish limit of 12.31 pounds. Both teams were fishing tubes and crankbaits catching these limits of Smallmouth bass in the river. Congratulations to both teams.
