Weigh-In at 3pm – Doodlebugs Murvaul Marina

**Registration begins at 5:30 am – Doodlebugs Murvaul Marina**

**Boat check at 6:30 am**

A meal and door prizes will be available after the weigh-in

Open to all high school students, grades 9 through 12

$30 per team – a team consists of two student anglers plus a boat captain who is at least 21 years of age – the boat captain provides the boat and ensures the safety of the student anglers

5 fish limit per team – the boat captain can contribute one fish 14 inches or under

Awards & Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Teams & Student Angler Big Bass

Limit of 50 boats – Reserve your spot by May 15 – Registration packet with rules, waivers, etc. will be emailed to each reserved team

Tournament Updates for Sam Rayburn National High School Open

San Augustine, Texas, April 29, 2013 – The San Augustine Chamber of Commerce announced the addition of two major local sponsors to help High School Fishing succeed in its inaugural National Open Fishing Tournament on Sam Rayburn Lake. Stephen F. Austin State University has one of the Nation’s most successful Bass Fishing Clubs. SFA has attended the National Bass Fishing Championship for the past 4 years, they also won the very first ESPN Bass Fishing Tournament and recently won the FLW Southern Conference Regional Championships. The SFA bass team will be on hand at the High School block sfaparty on Friday night June 21st to present a history of college bass fishing and opportunities for High School Anglers wanting to compete at the college level.

Mississippi High School State Championship Set for June 29

PONCA CITY, Okla. (May 15, 2013) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW, is excited to host the 2013 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Mississippi High School Fishing State Championship on Saturday, June 29. The event will be held on Pickwick Lake at State Line Boat Ramp in Counce, TN.

The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in is at 5pm on Friday, June 28 at State Line Boat Ramp in Counce, TN with a mandatory rules meeting to follow.  We highly encourage all teams to pre-register online in advance to avoid late registration fees.
