Ryan Shields and Zeke Gossett used a solid pattern of flipping frogs and jigs in shallow water to win the 2013 Alabama SAF State Championship with an impressive 5 fish limit that weighed 16 bs 3 oz.

The scenic setting of Coosa Landing in Gadsden, Alabama and Lake Neely Henry set the stage for a beautiful day where the teams battled the Holiday crowds and a couple of local tournaments while fighting for the regional qualifying spot at the TBF/FLW Southeast Conference Regional event help in October at Lake Lanier, Georgia. PONCA CITY, Okla. (May 23, 2013) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW are excited to host the 2013 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Indiana High School Fishing State Championship Sunday, June 9 at Hoosier Hills Marina in Celespine, Ind.

The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in is 6-7pm at the Hoosier Hills Marina on Saturday, June 8 with a mandatory rules briefing to follow.
