2014 Nebraska High School State Championship Heads for Merritt Reservoir July 26th

PONCA CITY, Okla. (January 15, 2014) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW is pleased to host the 2014 Student Angler Federation (SAF) NEBRASKA HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP on Saturday July 26th at Beeds Landing on Merritt Reservoir.
The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is online at HighSchoolFishing.org. Check-in is at 6:00am CST on Saturday, July 26th at the Beeds Landing Boat Ramp. There will be a mandatory rules briefing followed by the scheduled launch time of 7:00am. We highly encourage all teams to pre-register online or by phone in advance to avoid late registration fees.
“Nebraska Game and Parks is once again please to be working with The Bass Federation and the Nebraska TBF to bring this High School event to the students in this state” cited Larry Pape Fisheries Biologist for the State of Nebraska.
Registration Reminder for South Dakota SAF High School State Bass Fishing Championship
Don’t forget to register for the South Dakota SAF State Championship coming June 15th to Lake Mitchell.
On-line Registration closes on Friday June 13th at 4:00pm CST for the event. Registration/Check-in is on Sunday morning June 15th at 6:00am at the Park Ramp near Mitchell SD. A mandatory rules meeting will follow the check-in and the angler will take off at 7:00am CST. The weigh-in will begin at 2:00pm
This event is open to all High School anglers in the state and requires no qualification other than being an SAF member.
To register go to highschoolfishing.org and click the yellow box on the right hand side that says “State Championships” when the schedule appears scroll down to South Dakota and then go across to where it says “register” and click that box. Sign up both anglers here and be ready for the event!
The top 10% of this field will advance on to the TBF/FLW High School Regional event in with a chance to advance on to the High School National Championship and a $10,000 scholarship.

Don’t forget to register for the Tri State SAF State Championship High School Bass Fishing Tournament coming to Manchaug Pond in Sutton MA.
Registration closes on Friday June 14th at 10:00am EST for the Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts events which will be run together on Saturday June 14th.
Anglers should arrive at the State Park Launch Ramp located on Holt Rd in Sutton MA. At 6:30am. Following check-in and brief rules meeting the anglers will launch at approximately 7:30am and return for the weigh-in at 3:00pm.
