CENTRAL TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT TRAIL HEADS TO LAKE WACO

High school teams from across Central Texas will be tackling Lake Waco, October 23 at the Central Texas High School Tournament Trail’s 2nd qualifying event of the 2016-2017 season. A record setting number of teams have already registered and all indications point toward another great tournament.

Check-in will begin at 5:45am at the Lacy Point ramp with the scales opening at 2pm. Going into this event the team of Joshua Gonzales and Kyle Learned are leading the points race for Team of the Year.

Rounding out the top three spots, are Braedon Metzqar and Brooks Barnett of Midway Bass Club and Landen Bennett and Bryant Mitchell of Troy ISD.

FAN High School Fishing Series Qualifier # 2 Heads to Lake Travis

FAN logoAfter a record breaking turnout for the season opener on Lake Buchanan the Lake Travis team of Parker Wagner and Cameron Reagan earned the win and are currently leading the Berkley Select Angler race. Every qualifying event is critical for top finishes and points. Lake Travis leaves the door wide open for anglers to get one step closer to the Chase for the Champions with over $6,000 in scholarships and prizes.

Fall fishing in Central Texas has always been one of the best times of the year to catch fish. Lake Travis, with its 18,622 acre surface at 100% full  is sure to produce lots of good bass and possibly set records for some lucky student anglers.

When-
Check in will start at 5:30am.  There will be a boat safety check and we’ll release boats in numerical order at safe light.
Weigh in will be at 2PM– You must be checked in at the check station on the beach by 2PM or will be counted late.

Who is eligible?
Registration is open to all 7th-12th grade students. The entry fee for each tournament is $40 a boat with no more than two team members and each team member must be a TBF Student Angler Federation (SAF) member. In addition, to the one time FAN High School Fishing Series Membership of $10 per individual. Contestants must also have the signature of a parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the liability form.

How to Register

Must Register by October 26th
Registration deadline will be the Wednesday prior to the tournament via online registration only.  Late registrations will be accepted Saturday for complete teams only and will be added to bottom of the boat launch sequence.
