Delta Teen Team Open Hosts Event April 9 on California Delta

Delta Teen Team of Oakley, CA is hosting a tournament on the California Delta for JUNIOR ANGLERS and STUDENT ANGLERS

Where: Russo’s Marina, Bethel Island, CA

Tournament Date:  April 9

Check In: 5am at Russo’s – Blast-off: 7am  – Weigh In: Starts at 1pm

  • Picnic Lunch for Boaters and Anglers after the weigh-in & Awards Ceremony to follow.

  • All anglers must be current active Junior or Student Anglers with TBF/FLW membership.

  • You must have your membership numbers. Anglers can compete as Junior Anglers (individual 5 fish limit) OR as Student Anglers (High School Teams, 5 fish limit per team)

  • Registration Fee is $25 per angler includes launch fee, awards, raffle and lunch for anglers and boaters. You must register by 8pm Thursday, April 6 to receive your free raffle tickets. Register as a team through your Club Administrator.

  • Boaters Needed

    Safe boaters are needed to give kids an opportunity to compete in Bass Tournaments. Boaters must be at least 19 years old and out of high school. Boats must be a safe fishing platform for two anglers with a boater/coach aboard and must have live wells or another means of keeping fish alive. Boaters serve as coaches for these events and can help net and care for fish and advise anglers. All boats must be fitted with kill switches.

  • Registration:  Port of Kimberling – April 8, 5:30-7pm; Following TBF National Championship weigh-in
  • Launch/Weigh-in: Port of Kimberling, 7am-3pm

Going forward, the SAF program will operate on a school calendar with the National Championship being held in the summer in conjunction with the High School Fishing World Finals.

All participants must be Student Angler Federation (SAF) members to participate. SAF membership includes both TBF and FLW membership plus a digital subscription to FLW Bass Fishing magazine, online training courses and more.

SAF members never pay an entry fee to participate in TBF or FLW High School Fishing tournaments and all clubs are covered by SAF insurance, which means there is no added expense for schools with sanctioned High School Fishing clubs.
