Kaufman High School Fishing Team expands to 35 Members

With the growth of high school fishing in Texas, the Kaufman High School fishing team has grown to 35 members for 2012. Steve Holland, who is the coach said, “The first students that committed to the program last year did a great job of promoting the sport all over North Texas. They have helped with county fishing events, been on TV programs (Chevy Hometown Kids), magazine covers, and worked in store promotions at Bass Pro Shops. They have picked up their own sponsors and have been a focus of pride in the schools and our community.” The Kaufman High School Team had one of the largest high school events in Texas last year at Lake Ray Hubbard and topped that with winning the individual team and club championship. Please mark your calendars for April 6th, 2013, where once again Kaufman will co-host an open high school tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard with weigh in at Bass Pro Shops. Other dates are

December 8, 2012 – Cedar Creek, Inter-squad scrimmage (KHS only)
