The Vermont High School Fishing Championship was held on Sunday, July 19th at Lake Champlain in Colchester, VT. The action was fast and furious on this hot Sunday.
It was the the team of Goodrich and Safer that got the win at the end of the day with a 5 fish limit of 17.41 pounds to represent the Essex hornets. Andrew Goodrich and Matt Safer got in gear early with a large mouth lunker of 5.44 pounds and did not look back.
The team from Randolph, Brendan Vinton and Chase Martin came in second place with 16.16 pounds of smallmouth.
Rounding out the top 3 was the team of Hunter Navari and Jake Labelle with 15.78 pounds of mixed small and largemouths.
