Shane Long and Sawyer Strong win Championship on Tenmile

Oregon high school teams battled it out on Tenmile Lake, Saturday, May 14th. The teams faced low hanging rain clouds and wind, with temperatures in the low 50’s for a good portion of the day. So rain gear and warm clothes were a must! All the teams put in a maximum effort right up to the 3:00pm weigh in time. When all the bags had been weighed, the team of Shane Long and Sawyer Strong with five fish weighing 19-38 and big bass of 5-68 took the win and title of 2022 Oregon State Champions. Congratulations guys on a great bag of Tenmile largemouth! Two time defending champs, Josh Buller and Conner Chase finished 2nd with 16-75 and Gabe Thomas and Bode Nichols were 3rd with 16-51. Bullinger Brothers Win North Dakota State Championship on Lake Ashtabula

North Dakota teams had perfect tournament weather to compete at the state championship on Lake Ashtabula.  It was a cool 51 degrees at launch, but it warmed up to a pleasant 73 degrees by afternoon.  Logan and Ryan Bullinger weighed in the largest bag of 5 bass at 22.47 pounds and the largest bass of the tournament at 4.92 pounds to defend their title and bring it home again.   Coming in 2nd with 17.89 pounds were Forrest Sears and Sam Ziemer.  Alex Martel and Carson Dewald finished 3rd weighing in 14.97 pounds.

Crockett and Ward win at Burnsville Lake

The 2022 West Virginia SAF State Championship was on Burnsville Lake in Burnsville, WV. Aidan Crockett and Eli Ward, Braxton Eagles, took 1st place with a five fish limit that weighed 10-08. Aidan also had the big bass of the day at 2-99. In 2nd place with 9-63 was the Liberty High team of Adam McGhee and Scott Woicehovich.  And rounding out the top three teams was Riley Hendricks and Wesley Allen, Hurricane Redskins, with 6-27.
