Wisconsin and Iowa High School Fishing State Championship Set for August 27

Ponca City, Okla. (July 15, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced it will be hosting the inaugural Student Angler Federation Wisconsin and Iowa High School Fishing State Championship Saturday, August 27 at St. Feriole Island Marina Boat Launch, in Prairie du Chien, Wisc.  The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is open online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031. Check-in begins at 5pm on Friday, August 26 at the Cabelas in Prairie du Chien, Wisc.  A mandatory rules briefing will follow at 7pm. iHigh to Provide Free Video from 2011 High School Fishing World Finals

Ponca City, OK — iHigh.com, the Global Youth Network, and The Bass Federation have announced that they will provide free live streaming video from the 2011 High School Fishing World Finals.

iHigh.com is the official video streaming partner for the event, which will be held Wednesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 23 on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas.

Last year’s inaugural event saw anglers from 17 U.S. States and this year the field is expected to grow substantially. TBF’s Student Angler Federation (SAF) and the rapidly expanding High School Fishing State Championships, which TBF and FLW Outdoors are holding in every state in 2011, are supporting this pinnacle event. Michigan High School Fishing State Champions Crowned – Advance

Ponca City, Okla.  – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors hosted the inaugural Student Angler Federation Michigan High School Fishing State Championship, July 10 at Whitmore Lake, Township, Mich., at the DNR boat ramp just off Highway US 23.  The state championship was a two person team event for students in grades 9-12.

Hastings Saxon team of Danny and Clayton Sprague brought in a five bass limit weighing 18.47 lbs, making them the Michigan High School Fishing State Champions. Second place was narrowly won by Kyle Boe and Nick Marsh, weighing in 15.3 lbs. Third place team was David Bobr and Braden Armstrong of Walled Lake Central with 15.06 lbs.  Continue reading
