May 21, 2011, Buggs Island VA – The Virginia/North Carolina Student Angler Federation sign-in registration night was hosted by the Days Inn of South Hill, VA. The 19 registered teams showed up to attend the conservation speech given by Vernon Wilson, the Virginia TBF Conservation Director. After that the rules reading, there was group picture and a ton of stuff to give away at this inaugural event for the North Carolina and Virginia High School Fishing State Championships. Georgia High School Fishing State Championship Set For June 19

Ponca City, Okla. (May 19, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced it will be hosting the inaugural Student Angler Federation Georgia High School Fishing State Championship, June 19 at Lake Lanier, Gainesville, Ga.  The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9 -12. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is open online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031. Check-in begins at 4pm on Saturday, June 18 the Rowing Center (located next to the Clarks Bridge road ramp).  A mandatory rules briefing will follow at 6pm. We highly encourage all teams to pre-register online or by phone well in advance to avoid late registration fees. Continue reading

(May 18, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced it will be hosting the inaugural Student Angler Federation Tri-State High School Fishing State Championship, Sunday, June 12 at Congamond Lake, Southwick, MA.  The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9 -12. This event will serve as the state championship for Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, the top team from each of these three states will advance. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is open online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031. Check-in begins at 5:30pm on Saturday, June 11 at the Pavilion at Congamond Lake boat ramp.  A mandatory rules briefing will follow at 7pm.
