Arkansas High School State Championship CANCELLED due to “Once In Generation Flooding Event”.

The 2025 Arkansas High School State Championship and Junior State Championship Slated for Saturday April  5 on Greers Ferry Lake has been canceled due to what weather authorities detailed as extreme  weather that has “potential to cause a once in a generation flooding event.” 10 or more inches of rain could fall with this storm pushing rivers well above flood stage  and put road under water in a “particularly dangerous situation.” That coupled with the high risk of potential tornados, large hail and damaging winds the event simply could not go forward.

The safety of our competitors and their families is always our first concern and drives every decision we make. While we all like to fish, we will always err on the side of caution for these young anglers and their families. Stated Joey Bray TBF National Youth Director.

The event will be rescheduled for April 19th on Lake Hamilton, Hot Spring, AR.  stay tuned to this website for registration details.
