NC High School Trail Wraps Up its First Event

A beautiful God given day greeted the anglers as the first tournament for the 2016 North Carolina SAF high school fishing trail was held March 12 at Lake Norman.  First place went to Jake Frye and Vance Hite with a five fish limit weighing 12.8lbs. Second place went to Jeremy Dillinger and Josh Lakey with 11.1lbs.  Third place was the team of Tyler Black and Logan Anderson with 9.7 lbs.

The second event of the three tournament trail will be held April 16 at Badin Lake. The team fishing all three events with the highest total points will be awarded a stipend fund towards expenses at SAF’s High School Fishing World Finals in late June on Pickwick Lake.
