The Maryville Rebels Bass Club held their 2013 Fall Fishing Event on the waters of Douglas Lake Saturday November 2, 2013. Ten professional anglers each accompanied by two student anglers launched for a fun day of bass fishing and competition with the beautiful scenery of mountain lake in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The lake and fall colors were the perfect backdrop for the youth bass fishing event as the anglers set out just after sunrise to catch a five bass limit per boat. (2 caught by the pro and a total of three caught by the kids) This task proved to be challenging and a true test of skill following a recent cold front and the dropping water levels of the reservoir. However the kids and the anglers brought fish to the scales. It was a great time on Douglas Lake for everyone. The adults that volunteered their time and boats enjoyed the event as much as the kids did. Smiling faces and big bass made some memories that will never fade.
