The 2023 Oklahoma High School State Championship was held on Grand Lake in Grove, OK. We had a record number of teams this year with a total of 81 high school teams. Kellen Lanman and Kolby Cox came out on top with a five fish limit of 14 pounds 14 ounces. Carson Owen and Cade Smith took second place with 13 pounds. In third place was Bryce Steel and Drake Naylor with a total weight of 13 pounds. Bryce and Drake also took home two Lew’s reels for the Big Bass of the day weighing 5 pounds. The top 8 teams from this event will advance to the 14th Annual High School Fishing World Finals and National Championship in LaCrosse, WI on the Mississippi River. Good luck to all the teams!
