Curliss and Morris win State Championship on Sardis Lake

The 2022 Oklahoma SAF State Championship was scheduled to be on Fort Gibson Lake, but due to flooding the event had to be relocated to Sardis Lake in Clayton, OK. It was a tough day on the water with only one five fish limit brought to the scales. The Hartshorne Miners, Hayden Curliss and Magnum Morris had a total weight of 12 pounds 7 ounces taking 1st place and winning a berth to the 2022 National Championship. In 2nd place was Alan Kight and Shaden Farley with 11 pounds even. And in 3rd place was Ty Downs and Jace Anderson with 8 pounds 3 ounces.

The Student Angler Federation would like to thank all the volunteers that helped make this a great event and Jeffrey Seward for all his help in making the last-minute change to Sardis Lake.  We also want to thank all of the Moms that spent Mother’s Day with us to support their student anglers.
