Long time TBF youth angler Alex Goff teamed up with Zachary Horrocks to win the West Virginia High School State Championship Saturday on the Ohio River in the town of St. Marys WV.
The talented pair brought in a 5 bass limit the weighed in at 7lb 3oz to claim the title and a qualifying berth in the Central Conference Regional Championship later this fall in Huron Ohio.
Finishing second was Drew Sallada and Luke Humphreys of Nitro High School who had a 6lb 3oz sack. Coming in third was Will Billeter and Brendan Miller of St. Marys High School who had 4lb 10oz to finish third.
The event was postponed from its original date due to high water conditions on the Ohio River which can prove to be a very formidable foe for even the most seasoned anglers. Congratulations to all the teams who participated.
