Swallow and Whitney win State Championship on Lake of the Ozarks

The Missouri High School State Championship was held on Lake of the Ozarks out of Osage Beach, MO. With eager anglers the takeoff got under way. Changing weather, partially sunny skies and light winds increasing throughout the day proved tough for several teams. However, that didn’t stop the anglers from catching some great bags of fish.

First place winning team representing DE Smet Jesuit High School was Danny Swallow partnered with Nick Whitney the winning team had a Rapala’s Crush City Baits, Crushing Conservation 5 Live fish weighing at 16 pounds and 15 ounces.

Second Place team Cayden Pementel and Caston Embry from Camdenton High School brought a bag of fish to the scale that weighed 12 pounds and 15 ounces.

Third Place team representing Mid MO fishing team was Luke Karg and A.J. Massa the team brought in 3 fish weighing 10 pounds and 13 ounces.

The Lew’s big Fish winners had a 6 pound and 6 ounce lunker securing the team with a pair of Lew’s reels from our sponsor Lew’s. The Big Fish winning team was Carson Terry and partner Wyatt Strickland.
