Stephen F. Austin State University and Lonnie Stanley lend support for High School Anglers
San Augustine, Texas, April 29, 2013 – The San Augustine Chamber of Commerce announced the addition of two major local sponsors to help High School Fishing succeed in its inaugural National Open Fishing Tournament on Sam Rayburn Lake. Stephen F. Austin State University has one of the Nation’s most successful Bass Fishing Clubs. SFA has attended the National Bass Fishing Championship for the past 4 years, they also won the very first ESPN Bass Fishing Tournament and recently won the FLW Southern Conference Regional Championships. The SFA bass team will be on hand at the High School block party on Friday night June 21st to present a history of college bass fishing and opportunities for High School Anglers wanting to compete at the college level.

Bass fishing legend Lonnie Stanley 5 time Bass Master Classic qualifier and lure designer knows more about fishing Big Sam Rayburn than anyone and will share his knowledge and techniques for figuring out the winning patterns for the early summer bite. Lonnie along with other top professional fisherman will be available to meet and greet high school Anglers at the Friday Block Party as well as the Jackson Hill preregistration cookout. Stanley Jigs will also have plenty of their best products on hand for our young anglers to win.`
