Team Jackson wins South Carolina Championship on Lake Murray

Blue bird skies and light winds sent the SC High School Anglers under way for the 2024 South Carolina High School State Championship in hopes of becoming the 2024 High School State Champs.

The Dorman Cavaliers team of Jackson Mcleskey and Jackson Pruett showed up and showed out besting the field with a Crushing Conservation five live fish sponsored by Rapala’s new crush city baits at 17 pounds and 15 ounces taking the lead and securing them the win. Team Jackson will also be making the track over to Lake Hartwell SC for the 15th Annual High School Fishing World Finals & National Championship for a possible National Championship title to go with their South Carolina State Championship title they earned.The team of Hayden Williams and Kent Falls not only had the Lew’s Big Fish of the day weighing 6 pounds and securing the team with a set of Lew’s reels for the lunker they brought in, the team had a Crushing Conservation bag Five Alive fish weighing 16 pound 7 ounces also securing a berth to the Annual National Championship.

North Augusta Fishing team Bryson Holland and Deacon Ledford secured 3rd place also having a Crush City bait Crushing Conservation Five Live Fish at 16 pounds and 02 ounces.

4th place Lohgan Gosnell and Reagan Arms along with 5th Place Austin Short partnered with Jacob Greenwood also are headed to Anderson South Carolina hosting this year’s 15th Annual High School Fishing World Finals & National Championship. We want to thank all of our SC Student Anglers for coming out and fishing the SC State Championship and good luck this June at Lake Hartwell in search for a National Championship title.
