11yr old Bass Specialist Louie Echols signed autographs on the 2013/14 FWC Freshwater Regulations book., Louie’s on the cover.  He spoke about Trophy Catch and his 14lbs legend bass verified by FWC.

DSCF0533Bassmaster Elite Pro Bobby Lane signed all participating Reel Kids Certificate of Accomplishments. Proud dad! Alexis, Bobby Jr. and Amber competed in the event.

After the event 9yr old Jake Schmucker caught 25 bluegill behind the Camp Mack weigh in stage under docks!

Camp Mack host Patty explained, “The Kids had an AWESOME time, learning to fish, enjoy the outdoors, and lunch Hotdogs and chips.” A great Free Event!

BHS Jackets Coach Derek explained “The future of fishing has arrived, Reel Kids & High School Fishing”

MFHS Fishing Team “Back to the Books” Club Tourney on Lake Marble Falls, 9/14

Big Bass - Chris HootenIt was a picture perfect morning on Lake Marble Falls when 18 boats with 34 student anglers from the Marble Falls HS fishing Team launched at safe light for the “Back to the Books” club tournament to kick off the 2013-14 school year and season.  The boys weighed in a total of 31 bass for just over 54 lbs and a 100% release back into the lake.

The top 5 teams and BIG BASS were:

1st place – Austin Ellis and Ben Stripling, 5 fish – 11lbs 1 oz

2nd place – Chase Maddox (single), 4 fish – 9 lbs 8.5 oz

3rd place – Chris Hooten and Jordan Childress, 3 fish – 9 lbs  (including Chris Hooten’s BIG BASS – 4.45 lbs!)

4th place – Brandon and Kevin Duggins, 5 fish – 5 lbs 10 oz

5th place – Jake Meadows and Christian Hunick, 2 fish, 3 lbs 4.5 oz

1st Place Austin Ellis and Ben Stripling

Wayne County School Bass Bandits 2nd Annual Open High School Bass Tournament

Date; Oct. 26-2013

Tournament Location: Conley Bottom Marina & Resort on Lake Cumberland.

Registration starts at 5:00 a.m. (EST) Pre-Tournament meeting at 7:00 a.m. (EST)

in front of the dock at Conley Bottom Marina.

 

Tournament Hours; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EST)

There will be trophies for 1st , 2nd , 3rd , and Big Fish.

Entry fee; $10.00 per boat.  Entry fee will be a fundraiser for the

Wayne County Bass Bandits.
