Cole Wessner and Hunter Schnieder of Colerain High School brought a five bass limit that weighed in at 7.59lbs to the Tanners Creek ramp facility on the Ohio River to win the inaugural event on Sunday morning May 31. With Temperatures in the 60”s and feeling more like fall the duo was able to outdistance Kentucky representatives Hunter Young and Trevor Windgassen who also had a five fish sack that tipped in at 6.45 lbs. to finish second. Jason Short and Matt Schlabuch had the only other limit of the day that weighed 5.17lbs to finish third in the event.
Special thanks goes out to Dixie Marine, John Duwell and Anglea Poling from the Ohio Bass Federation who all worked together to bring the event to life.
