McKay and Therrell Win Mississippi State Championship

Thomas McKay and Chase Therrell outsmarted five nice bass from the Tenn-Tom waterway that weighed in at 9.58lbs to win the Mississippi State Bass Fishing Championship at the Aberdeen Marina. The pair of anglers from the Bulldog Bass Club narrowly edged by the team of Victoria Flynn and James McCain who also had five in their bag that weighed 9.02lbs to finish in the runner-up spot. Rounding out the top three teams who all qualified for the Southeastern Conference Regional Championship in Gainesville GA, were the duo of Garrett McWilliams and Dalton Jones who only had four fish but it was enough to claim the third spot with 7.94lbs.

Austin Bagwell and JR Smith won the Big Bass Award for the event with a 4.30lb toad that claimed the Big Bass Prize of a new Grill provided by the Aberdeen Marina.
