01.Sep.2012 PROVO, Utah (Sept. 1, 2012) – David Ashton and Jake Beahm from Idaho’s Borah Senior High School won the High School Western Conference Championship tournament held on Utah Lake Saturday. TBF along with FLW held the high school tournament in conjunction with the FLW College Fishing Western Conference Championship event.
Bolstered by a catch of 8 pounds, 2 ounces and the tournament’s only five-bass limit, the Prince George, Va., high school team of Ryan Drewery (left) of Petersburg, Va., and Junior Roberts of Ringgold, Va., captured the TBF/FLW College Fishing Northern Conference Championship on Philpott Lake. High School Fishing State Champions advance to a Conference Championship, in conjunction with an FLW College Fishing Conference Championship this fall. Boats are provided upon request.
