Arizona State Championship was held in Yuma Arizona, Martinez lake. 17 teams from around the state fished the event and the fish were plentiful for the student anglers. All 17 teams weighed in fish. Topping the scales from Yuma High Schools were Jonathan Parrish/ Brett Edington weighing in 17.71 pounds. Jaysen Brooks/ Brian Valasquez also of Yuma, weighed in 13.46 to claim second place. Aaron Cadena/ Ben Jackson, Yuma, brought to the scales 13.28 pounds. Big Fish of the tournament was 6.5 pounds caught by the Tristan Casaus/Matthew Jimenez team.
