TBF/FLW Competitor Memberships
SAF membership includes full competitor memberships in both, The Bass Federation (TBF) AND FLW. Also, a subscription to FLW’s electronic magazine and full benefits/discounts from both organizations, like insurance!
Insurance
Every member, boat captain, and SAF club will have insurance coverage for all official SAF school club events, which includes $1 million of liability coverage, $25,000 Excess Medical Coverage, $1 Million for any allegations of misconduct and $25,000 ‘Amber Alert’ coverage.
Mentor-led Student Angler Clubs
The goal is to form an SAF club with at least 6 members, but we know you’ve got to start somewhere! Any two angler team can start a club, or register for an SAF event and grow from there! We encourage clubs to work with and through a local high school. But, an SAF club can be a faculty led, high school sanctioned club or a parent/sponsor/angler led after-school club.
Education
SAF is not only about fishing but also about education and how math, science and language arts relate to fishing. SAF tournaments are “no entry fee” events and payouts are in scholarships, prizes and trophies, not cash.
Every SAF member also gets unlimited access to online learning tools, educational materials, meeting agenda formats and testing with TBF’s partner, Faculty of Fishing. Clubs have the latest and most up to date online fishing education program available with Faculty of Fishing and their expert staff.
