On Saturday September 12th anglers from throughout NY traveled to the mighty Hudson River out of Germantown, NY with their sights on winning the NYS High School Championship. The Hudson River can be challenging, and the bite is very dependent on the weather and the tide, to top it off it has been tough to fish over the past couple of weeks. The weather for the day turned out perfect, the tide was a favorable one but the bite was tough. At the end of the day most of the teams were able to bring fish to the scales but only one team can prevail.
Taking the win in the High School division for the day and punching their ticket to Kentucky was the team of brothers, Caleb & Cameron Hildenbrand with a 5 fish limit and a bag totaling 13.30lbs. Ryan Knapp and Jason Gibson won the Junior division with a total weight of 8.80lbs and will advance to the 2026 Junior World Championship.
