BHS Yellowjackets Hold Successful Inaugural Bobby Lane Cup

Dec. 10, 2011; Kissimmee, FL – It was a Malys day! Jay and Cody Malys of the BHS Jackets Bass Fishing Team with 6 bass total weight 16lbs 13oz won the Bobby Lane Cup. Jay had big bass for the day 4lbs 8oz., earning him tournament jersey off Bobby Lane’s back. Part of the team prize was a fishing trip with Lane after weigh-in. ” It was awesome fishing with Bobby Lane, he caught a 5lb bass within 15 minutes fishing with us,” Jay said. The experience will last a lifetime. Congratulations Jay and Cody.

2nd Place with 6 bass total weight 12lbs 14oz.  Luke Ferguson and Matt Bedenbaugh of the BHS Jackets Bass Fishing Team. 3rd Place with 6 bass total weight 12lbs 9oz.  CJ Wright and Gabe Gelb of the BHS Jackets Bass Fishing Team. 4th Place with 6 bass total weight 11lbs 13oz.  Mike Boswell and Dustin Bozeman of the BHS Jackets Bass Fishing Team. 5th Place with 5 bass total weight 9lbs 10oz. Cody Glowner and Austin Anderson of the BHS Jackets Bass Fishing Team.

Thirty-six SAF high school students from Bartow, Kathleen, Tenoroc, Plant City, Durant and Spirit Christian Academy took part in the tournament.

BHS Jackets would like to thank the Bobby Lane family, Camp Mack, McBroom’s awards, Bartow Ford, D.B. Bait & Tackle, Deep South Fishing Rods, SAF/TBF/FLW and all the boat captains that made it possible for the anglers to fish.

SAF anglers look for the Bobby Lane Cup 2012 next year in December.
