With the the lake rising upwards of 3 feet in less then a week and the water visibility less than an inch. Teams from around of the state arrived in Colchester Vt to participate in the Vermont state championships. At the end of the event big limits were arriving at the scales.
The top three teams had 5 fish limits of upwards of 16 pounds. mixed bags of small mouth and large mouth were weighed. senkos, jigs ned rigs and tubes played a big part in the catches. during the tournament more than 2 inches of rain fell and anglers had to adjust on the fly to get the work done.
First place team of Isayah Isham Ethan Bromley of Mt Abraham brought a five fish limit of 17.65 pounds. Second place goes to the team of Maddox Salls and Blake Baker from Randolph high school. Rounding out the top 3 was the team of Maverick Misenko and Nate Conyers of the Harwood Union Highlanders. With all the recent rain and changing conditions all these anglers really shined.
